Hello lovelies!


Thought it was about time I had a clear out of my wardrobe, as there are some lovely things I just don't wear, mainly due to the fact that they're too big on me, so I thought I'd give you lovely Odd Molly devotees the first chance on them before posting them on Tradera next week, so if you're interested, please leave me a message here - first come first served basis methinks. So here we go.......


KNITTED DRESS FROM THE S/S 07 COLLECTION - ART OF NON-SENSE, size 1

This is a beautiful dress and I coveted it for such a long time, but unfortunately it just doesn't do anything for me! :-(  


Only worn twice since then, so not a good investment for me, but I really would love this one to go to a good Odd Molly home!

ODD MOLLY TUNIC - A/W 07, size 1

I really am hopeless when it comes to remembering what some of the collections/items of clothing were called, but I'm sure you'll all know this sweet little tunic!  Once again it's just too big for me! (one of these days I'll either buy a size that fits or put some weight on!)

ODD MOLLY TUNIC - A/W 09, size 1

Oh how I adore this one but it's way too big on me - in fact, this would fit a small size 2 I'm sure!


Now I have to admit that when this one arrived I was a bit disappointed with it, as it seemed rather plain on the sleeve and bottom edges, and as I loved it so much, I added some very expensive lace from Sweden to it to make it look better, but when you see it, you'll understand how much better it looks for it - sometimes I see something from Odd Molly that looks adorable, then you think to yourself "Why didn't they embellish it with more lace?" and sometimes things like that let them down, but hey-ho, that's only my opinion, but with this one, at least you can say it's a 'one-off'!! LOL


I've only ever worn this twice and whilst it looks so beautiful on, I really need one in a size that fits me! :-(

ODD MOLLY  A/W 10 - VINTAGE CHALK WIGWAM - SIZE 2

It's going to break my heart to part with this one, but really, if something is two sizes too big on you, then what's the point in it sitting in your wardrobe?


This is such a pretty dress and the colour is so much nicer when you see it for real!  I've only ever tried the dress on and so haven't worn it. It was bought for me by my Mum but unfortunately, she took the label off before she gave it to me (she didn't want me to see the price, but hey, like every Odd Molly girl, I know how much it cost! LOL) so I don't have the original tags for it. I was hoping to do an exchange for it, but as nobody has come forward, there's no point in keeping hold of it, however, if you do have a size 1 that you want to swap, please send me a post here, if not, the dress is offered for sale at £95.00

ENGEL DRESS - I really must finish this.......

Quite frankly, I cannot believe I started making this dress almost a year ago and still haven't finished it! I already own an Odd Molly 9th Sweater in chalk and love it to bits, but try as I might, I couldn't get hold of the lovely pale pink version of it, so as I had a lot of pale pink 4 ply cotton (shade aptly called 'Angel' btw!) I decided to embark on making my own. And actually it wasn't too difficult - even if I didn't have a pattern, I figured out that I would  make it into more of a dress than a tunic - and with that, I set off figuring out how to do it!

It's such a pretty little thing when you see it 'up close and personal' as the colour is much paler pink than is shown here. As you can see, I've endeavored to capture something very similar to the 9th Sweater style.




The only thing now is that I need to remember how to knit up the other sleeve, as it's a whilst since I did the first one!

But it won't be a problem that's for sure! Then I can put it up for sale here so watch this space! That's the only thing with my prototypes -they don't usually fit me! LOL

Wigwam Exchange......

Was just wondering if anyone was interested in doing a swap, as I have a Vintage Chalk Wigwam size 2 and it's too big on me (I didn't realise what size mine was until too late!) and had worn it already (only once!) So if anyone has a size 1 that they'd like to swap, please contact me here!

Berry Pretty Indeed......

Good Morning lovelies!


And here is my latest offering - the most wonderful shrug I've ever made! The colours are luscious and it's knitted in a merino alpaca silk yarn that is soo soft, it was a dream to make - I love this yarn!

This beauty is offered for sale at £60.00 (exc of P&P) Yes it is my most expensive shrug to date, but that's down to the yarn used. If you're even slightly tempted, trust me, you won't be disappointed when you see this beauty for real, it's just wonderful!

2011 here I come..and about time too!

And a very Happy New Year to you all, gosh, I can’t believe it’s been so long since I was last in here, so I have to make up for lost time – thing was, my wireless router packed in on me, then my laptop almost gave up, so I figured it was about time I invested in a new one, but setting it up has been a nightmare, as I didn’t have anyone to help me out till last weekend, and even then things aren’t right, but hey-ho, I’ll get there in the end!

But during my downtime/hibernation, I have been knitting, so without further ado, here’s my latest wares, some of which are for sale if anyone’s interested!

APRICOT MITTENS



These are my new Springtime mittens and they compliment the new Odd Molly SS11 collection, which, in my opinion, is the prettiest so far!


They’re knitted in 4ply cotton, making them very delicate indeed and soo pretty! These will compliment such beauties as this wonderful crochet cardigan that I covert, but due to the fact I couldn’t be online, I wasn’t able to pre-order it, so fingers crossed dear Amy from Fitts & Co will be able to come to my rescue!!

Isn’t this just the prettiest little thing – if ever a cardigan was me, then this is for sure!

These little mamas are such a wonderful colour that I can’t stop looking at them! Such a pretty little shade that will compliment Odd Molly items like this…

HVIT JUL......

Well if the forecast is right then it's very likely here in the UK, but these photo's were taken two weeks ago as I was putting the decorations up, so they are a perfect backdrop for this post!

It was surprisingly cold that week in the UK, with the temperatures reaching a minus 10 degrees on the day these photos were taken!

Now I'm used to skiing in very cold temperatures but I was shocked to see just how cold Oslo was the weekend before last, as the temperature was minus 18 when I was there - brrr, I even got windburn on my cheeks, not very pleasant at all!

Well I needed a 'nice distraction' today and so I thought I'd post some Christmas photies as well as these lovely memories of a perfect wintry scene....

I used to do a lot of cross stitching a few years back, and here are some of my favourite things that only come out of the cupboard at this time of year. The 'God Jul' cushion was one of the first things I made, but my most treasured piece is this wonderful little angel, which was just dressed in a very ordinary dress, so I decided to 'dress her up' and make her look very festive instead. She did have wings when I purchased her many years back, so I sprayed them white, in order to fit with the theme I had in mind......

* THE ANGEL 'CORALIE' *

I love the words she has embroidered on her dress "Glad tidings of great joy I bring to you" and she was created in memory of my dear friend Coralie, who sadly left this world many years ago, as I always wanted to be reminded of her. She used to love the 'Flower Fairy' illustrations, I decided that I would make her into the angel that she always was, and now is, and she is the first decoration to be put out and the very last one that goes away after Christmas. The little roses she carries in her hand were from the rose bush I planted for her, and I pressed them and decided that they would look perfect with her dress.

She even has fancy bloomers on under her dress and she sits on this very grand chair near to my sofa, as I love looking at her!

I confess to having a number of trees around my home, all with a differing theme - I guess you could say I'm a frustrated set designer, and its at this time of year that I get to go mad and have fun decorating anything that's stationary! LOL

I've had these 50's style ski decorations for many years and I really love this tree! I wish I could still get hold of these decorations but they're like gold now! The thought of skiing on wooden ski's with those wonderful boots actually always reminds me of Bond films, which I adore watching at any time of the year, but especially now, as there's nearly always a ski scene in them!

This tree looks so wintry and cold that I love it too!

The magnificent 'Faberge' style bauble is by Lene Bjerre and I bought it in Oslo a few years back, and I cannot believe that I forgot to visit the new concept store when I was there last weekend - where was my mind.......oh yes, I know! LOL

It's amazing what a few red ribbons can do to make a room look more festive, don't you think?....

I love these sweet little ice skates that I found on Ebay many years ago - and in particular, how they still have the original leather protectors on the blades - mind you, they cost me a lot more to have them shipped here from the US!!

And this is my all time favourite, my 'Norge Jultre' It took me ages to find/make the decorations for this one, but it always looks so wonderful, standing at the top of the stairs!

And finally, if you've ever had anything made by me, this is where it was probably created, in my craft room - my own private little space! This year I decided it should have the same treatment as the rest of the house.......

I love being in here, with my music going, creating pretty little things as I dream away......

Yeah well, if you can have a tree everywhere else, why not have one in here too?! LOL

In a perfect world, this pretty little globe would play 'Angel In The Snow', having said that, it does do a good rendition of 'Winter Wonderland' instead, so I'm not complaining!

Phew, well that was a 'mammoth' blog! Right then, I'm off to have a warming hot chocolate and to check if I've received an email from someone who's very important to me.......

KAN DU HJELPE MEG IGJEN!!

I'm sure someone can, as there must be lots of Scandinavian friends out there who own one of these beautiful angels, but I'm desperately trying to find out the oringin of them.

I bought this one in Zurich a few years back, and saw a lifesize one there in a hotel last year, but I didn't ask the origin of it, however, since then, someone told me that they're Scandinavian and not European.

So, if anyone has one, or know the origin of them, can you please let me know, as I would like to buy another, but have to admit, I've never seen them in Oslo at around Christmas time when I've been there!

I did notice one in Morten Harkets kitchen tho........

No, I haven't been there (I should wish!) but saw it in the background when they filmed 'Mr & Mrs' last year!
