And at last I have one wearing my pretty Heidi long dress, in the beautiful land of Sweden!
As some of you will be aware, this dress began it’s life back in 2010, when I had the idea to make a long version of my now famous ‘Heidi’ dress.
It is no doubt, one of the prettiest Heidi dresses I’ve ever made, if not the prettiest, and I’ve always imagined what it look like on a Scandinavian beauty, wandering around in the countryside on a perfect sunny day – and now my wish has come true!
I always wanted as many details as possible in this dress, and so I added lots and lots of expensive lace down the skirt in panels, and it really added to the look……
It took me a while to source all the trimmings for it, but it was well worth it in the end…..
As you can see from the lovely lace heart detail on the back…….
I have so many amazing photo’s of Maria, that I was spoilt for choice which to use…..
As you can see……
But I think I saved the best two (in my opinion!) for last……
I especially love this animated one….
When I was making this, I always imagined a number of Scandinavian bridesmaids wearing them for a summer country wedding, with nothing more than flowers in their hair for adornment – and that would be my dream commission for sure!
So this dress can be made to order, but the price is on request, depending upon the customers requirements.

I would like to thank my dear friend Maria, once again for agreeing to be my model, and a special thanks goes to the very talented photographer Henrik Bergsted, who kindly photographed Maria for me – I am most grateful to you for these wonderful shots!
Wishing you all a sunny day, but if you live in the UK, sadly that won’t be the case!

I hate having my photo taken – it’s as simple as that! In fact, some may say I have body dysmorphia, as I sometimes cannot bear to even look at myself in the mirror. This year I’ve probably deleted nearly every photo taken of me (with the exception of a couple of very ‘special’ ones to me!) but even then, they weren’t good – in my eyes anyway!
So, an amateur photographer friend of mine suggested that seeing as I have a blog, and bloggers often take their own photo’s, that I should attempt to try shooting myself and see how I got on – and so I did, and here’s the evidence….
At first, I found it difficult to look in the correct point in the mirror, but I guess it’s all trial and error at the start…….
Then I got to grips with it!…….
I even tried changing my hairstyle – then I forgot where to look again…….
Then I started to relax and have a bit of fun with it…..
And not a scrap of make up or touching up, just me….
And for the probably the first time in my life, I can honestly say that I don’t mind looking at my photo – probably because I was the photographer and at ease with myself!
Think I should have brushed my hair tho!
I can heartily recommend this little exercise to anyone who’s not confident in front of a camera, as I was actually behind it in theory, but you get my point! I’m not saying that I’m cured, but I think it has helped, and it nothing else, it was fun!
Thanks for dropping by, wishing you all a wonderful evening!

Yes, it’s that time of year again, when I just have to re-visit what’s in the Craft Room, and seeing as I’m starting to re-evaluate just where I go with this little venture, I’ve decided to move things on, so I’m offering my items for a very good price, as once they’re gone, they’re gone, never likely to be repeated again, so have a look-see and grab yourself a bargain!
‘Engene’ Tunic Dress
My beloved ‘Engene’ knitted tunic, that very sadly, just doesn’t fit me, and so is looking for a good home to go to! It was a pure labour of love for me to make and the photo’s don’t do it justice! Took me a lifetime to make, and it will fit between a large Odd Molly size 1 and a small size 2.
The pretty silvery crocheted detail can be removed from the back of the dress, if it’s not to taste, please feel free to ask, I won’t be offended!
This beautiful little tunic dress is offered for sale at £50.00, excl of P&P. The yarn cost me far more than that, but it go it must, as I don’t have space for anything these days……
Grey Sweet Heart Shorts ** SOLD **
These pretties are made in a lovely slate grey organic cotton, finished with a lovely pale beige crocheted tie belt. They would fit a large Odd Molly size 1, and are offered for sale at £20.00, excl of P&P
And then there’s a few other items that need shifting on……..
Odd Molly Fully embroidered Tank ** SOLD **
This stunningly pretty Odd Molly camisole top, size 2, embroidered with beautiful butterflies, it’s made of a wonderful silk/cotton fabric. For sale at £40.00, excl of P&P
Never been worn, it was bought as a present for me, but sadly, it’s far too big on me to attempt to make it look good, it’s a perfect summer top!
Ti Mo pretty…. ** SOLD **
This beautiful dress by Ti Mo, which is a XS, but more like an Odd Molly size 1, hence the fact I’m selling it! Bought in Oslo on my birthday, it’s just to darned big on me – again!
Has never been worn, original price, 1990.00 NOK, which is about £213.00, I’m offering it for sale at £75.00, excl P&P, which is a very good price for such a pretty little thing that sadly, hasn’t been worn….
Odd Molly underskirt
Sweet little Odd Molly underskirt, size 2, another ‘impulse’ buy many years back, which sadly didn’t fit (there’s a pattern here, don’t you think?!)
Lovely embroidery on the back, for sale at £15.00, excl of P&P
And finally…..
This stunning Odd Molly embroidered tunic, a small size 1 to be honest…. ** SOLD **
Offered for sale at £50.00, excl of P&P.

So it’s like this, last year I was in a bit of a dyeing frenzy, and I had this embroidered white seersucker material, but I wanted to see if it would dye perfectly, and being pure cotton, it did, and so I also did some lace to go with it – thought it was the perfect opportunity to make sure I got a good match, but now, well I don’t know what to do with it, so that’s where you come in!
There’s 2 metres of material and so I’m thinking it could either be a sundress, a boudoir wrap or possibly a blouse – depends on what I come up with, but I want you to tell me what it should be, and the idea that I like the most, will be utilised and then raffled off on my Facebook page – but only when I reach the magic ‘200 likes’ there!
I’m short of 10 people - heck, I’m giving something away here, it shouldn’t be too difficult, but right now it is, so it’s over to you lot, you take it 200, tell me what you like and we have a raffle on our hands!
So what are you waiting for? Head over to Facebook and hit the ‘like’ button!
You know it makes sense!

Been a bit undecided about this pretty little blouse since I made it last year, as it’s truly adorable, but I felt I should have made it a little longer, as the sleeve edge is actually longer than the blouse itself, and this is what put me off!
This is the original…….
It looks so pretty here, but in truth, I was never happy about how it looked on me!
Love the details……..
I decided to add an extra layer to the bottom and as I had enough matching lace from the sleeves, I think it’s worked out well. Thing is, it hasn’t been washed yet, so the bottom edge is not ‘blending’ into the creases the same as the top, but it will do!
So what do you think – does it work? Guess the proof will be when it’s washed and ironed, but it looked okay just now!
Let me know what you think, does it look good as a dress, or do you prefer it as a blouse?
Thanks for dropping by, ha en god helg!
Stor kram!

Or should I say “Hipp hipp hurra!” to all my Norwegian followers! Wishing you all a wonderful day, wherever you may be celebrating!
This beautiful cake was my inspiration for today, as I have a friend coming round for lunch, but let’s just say that my decoration is taking a little more effort than I’d like right now, but I’ll get there in the end – may not look this perfect, but I had a try out last night, and it sure tastes good!
Gratulerer med dagen alle sammen, ha en god dag!
