100th blog post–should be something significant then……..

LMN Banner

Actually I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to reach this milestone post but there you go! Smile

And whilst I have a number of things I’d like to blog, I didn’t feel that they were as significant as this one so here goes nothing…….

Basically I would just like to say a big ‘Tack så mycket’, ‘Tussen Takk, ‘Molto Grazie’ Vielen Dank’ and ‘Thank you very much’ for all the lovely ladies around the world who have supported my designs since I started selling them here!

Its rather sweet really, but a few years back, I just enjoyed making wristlets for all my a-ha friends whom I used to meet up with for concerts and the like (no more of those occasions to look forward to now, boo-hoo! Sad smile) However, I guess that’s how it all started in earnest and with that, once they and the other pretties I make were posted here, the orders took off!

Firstly, I decided to use the money for funding travel to concerts as trust me, it was never cheap and I originally used to call it my ‘Morten Harket Entertainment Fund’  and it came in very handy indeed, so many thanks to all who made a contribution to such a worthy cause! LOL

Now it’s taken on a bigger meaning in my life and I have to say, I enjoy every single thing that I make and have a very special little ritual (which will remain secret to me!) that I go through before every item is sent on it’s way around the world to all you lovelies and it always makes me smile when it happens!

When I started making things I never believed that anyone else would like my wares and therefore had no faith in what I was producing, but then one day, a dear friend by the name of Katherine told me to have faith in myself and what I made (she was one of the first people to believe in and support my designs!)  and she sent me a little quote that helped me along the way – it was this…………

“Everything is already yours if you believe it to be so” (Voltaire)

And with that, I wrote it in a little book and now every day add another quotation which has meaning in my life.

So to you Katherine, Flora and Steffi  I dedicate this blog post, as you lovely ladies were the first to support my designs and gave me the belief that I could actually pull this off and for that, I will always be thankful!!

So once again, many thanks to all you lovely ladies out there – you know who you are! xxxxxx

Wishing you all a lovely day, wherever you may be!

Here, we’re getting ready for the Royal Wedding - bunting is strewn around the village and everyone is looking forward to the BBQ and frivolities – that is,  after William has kissed his beautiful bride!

Fingers crossed the weather holds out, as it's not looking too good right now!!

Stor kram til alle!

  1. What a great qoute (the one by Voltaire) I am going to write it down for safe-keeping. We are renovating the house here, so I am not so much in front of the computer right now. You seem to be in great spirits and it makes me happy. Talk to you soon.

  2. Hello lovely girl, how nice to see you here! Of course you of all people would love this quotation so I'm glad I was able to pass it on to you!

I thought you were quiet and was going to email you later today, but I'm glad to see that you've been busy doing nice things - house renovation is always good - must have a 'catch-up' soon yes?!

And yeah I am happy right now my dear! :-)

    Stor kram til dig!

  3. Congratulations on your 100th post. I just stopped by to say "hello" and let you know how I love my wristlets. Unfortunately, the weather has been cold so they have been getting lots of use. I was to save them for the Fall but Spring has been cold and grey and the wristlets keep me warm and make me feel happy.

The crochet wrap is beautiful....what a talent you have!

    Stor Kram,
    Karen XOXO

  4. Hello there my dear Karen, thanks for your dropping by and your kind wishes!

I'm soo pleased that you love your wristlets and that you've been getting lots of wear out of them - even if you weren't expecting to yet! Even tho we've had decent weather in the UK of late, I wore mine when I was out at a BBQ the other evening, and they came in really useful - I was so pleased I took them with me, whilst others sat in the garden sitting on their hands to keep them warm.

And I can't wait to wear that wrap top with a little Odd Molly silk tank underneath it - but it most definitely needs to be a little warmer for that!

    Stora kramar till dig också

  5. Tears in my eyes. My life is so much richer for knowing you and I cherish your lovely work. No thanks to me needed. I was only speaking the truth and I know that others feel the same. You are a talented lady and you have such a kind heart too. Congratulations on the 100 posts. I can't wait to continue the journey with you to the next

  6. Hi Marie,

I never doubted you'd pull this off and that the world would love your beautiful wares. So pleased it worked out for you and that you can do what you enjoy most and put a smile on other girls' faces.

Looking forward to more lovely Little Miss Norway designs!

    Steffi xxx

  7. And I have tears in my as I read your kind words!

I feel you were most definitely placed on my path for a reason dear Katherine and for that I'm very thankful!

Hoping I can live up to everything you wrote here and looking forward to seeing what I can come up with in the future - think it's going to be lots of fun!!

    Lots of love to you!

  8. Ah dear Steffi, thank you so very much for believing and championing my designs right from the very start - you're such a great ambassador for my work and it gladdens my heart to know that you've supported me so much!

You know, it's a very special privilege to be able to put a smile on someone's face and if I can continue doing that, then I'll be a very happy gal! Hope you're liking those sparkly wristlets, must get round to making myself a pair sometime soon!

Lots of love to you too!

  9. This is the second time of replying to these comments, as blogger was down last week, so apologies for what might appear to be lateness!

Katherine, I had tears in my eyes also when I read your comments! I'm absolutely honoured and touched that you feel that way my dear! You have been a massive source of inspiration to me, offering me advice and comforting words when needed over the years, and for that I am very thankful!

I still can't believe when I see some of the fan footage that we were both in that group photie together, except you wouldn't think so as I was sandwiched in between Nicola and Emma and had I think Steffi standing in front of me - mind you, I was hiding to be honest!

One fine day we will meet properly and I am so looking forward to it!

Hope you enjoy reading the next 100 blog posts!

    Love to you!

  10. Dearest Steffi, thank you so much for your kind comments also!

You have always championed my work over the years and have been a big ambassador for my designs and for that, I am truly grateful!

Hope you're enjoying those new sparkly wristlets you recently purchased, as well as everything else!

Lots of love to you too, wish I could have been in London with you at the weekend!

    Stor klem!
